About

How do I find my way back to myself?

Practice Philosophy

I am trained as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, and I am board-certified (PMHNP-BC). This means I am a Registered Nurse (RN) with advanced training (Master of Nursing and Doctor of Nursing Practice) in providing psychiatric care. Because of this, I may have a different approach than Psychiatrists (MD, DO) you have seen. However, my responsibility to you is identical: quality, consistent care. Treatment decisions will always be methodical and careful. I take a collaborative and psychoeducational approach–instead of dictating what you should do, our decisions are shared.

Clinical Approaches

Medication Management

Often, my treatment includes the prescription of psychiatric medication in addition to psychotherapy. Treatment is voluntary—you are not obligated to take medication you do not wish to, and we will discuss different treatment options whenever possible.

Brief Therapeutic Interventions

Throughout treatment, bad days and rough situations happen. There is a way to be resilient to these and learn from them.

Collaborative Care

I take a collaborative and psychoeducational approach–instead of dictating what you should do, our decisions are shared.

Establishing Your Team

If upon evaluation, it appears you would benefit from more intensive therapy, or a specialist referral, we will discuss these and make it happen for you. I will remain in contact with other members of your treatment team.

Let's Talk

The first step is a 15-minute consultation. It's free. Let's find a time to meet and talk about what's on your mind.
